Great knockabout fun for all ages

This is a great experience. Book early though as the small theatre is easily filled. You can also meet the man who carves these amazing puppets.

Show won't happen unless there is a minimum number - we were 6 and a half (incl infant), were told had to be 7!!!

This was a fun 45 minute experience for the whole family. Lots of action, sword fighting, monsters, princesses, witches...you can enjoy it even if you don't understand much Italian.

This is a little gem - a real puppet theatre with beautiful puppets handled with great expertise. There is a little summary of the plot in the leaflet which you are given on arrival. However, the plot was easy to follow. As recommended by a previous reviewer, we booked before we left by sending them an email (in English). The... More

This is a little theater with 4 9or 5 people organising everything. It was a fabulous Sicilian experience. Recommended.

We visited the Teatro di Pupi on the night of San Martino - and were treated to a somewhat violent one hour performance of the legend of Saint Martin. Some scenes were a little hard to explain to our two and four year old who spent several days afterwards telling s us that they were mean soldiers and a mean... More

The puppet theater is very small-- part of its charm. Though we couldn't understand the language, we enjoyed the show very much.

It is part of the tradition of Syracusa, and I would suggest it for every family with kids (not to young because it could be scaring for the smallest ones). if you do not book in advance I don`t think you can find a seat

I liked the battle scenes! The rhythm of the puppets as they lunge back and forth brandishing their swords. Great craftsmanship and artistry on the part of the puppeteers. Great fun for the audience. I sat on floor, used seat as tripod, and captured the best video clips of my trip to sicily!
