Had difficulty during off-season finding a tour online, out of Siracusa , to tour the cities of Noto, Modica & Ragusa on our only available dates in the area. The big tour companies offered most tours on specific days of the week only. I felt fortunate to be able to book with Ortigia Tours. At the meeting point, we were... More

The excursion provided an enjoyable overview of the small island of Ortigia from the water and included a visit to beautiful sea caves. My husband, sister-in-law and I bargained for the the combined island tour + sea cave for the three of us. Good value and good fun.

We were convinced by a young lady to take this boat tour whilst we were walking over the bridge. As it was only for approx 1hr and very cheap we decided to give it a go. As it happened there were only 3 passengers and the captain who had no English but this didn't matter as the scenery was self... More

We were not planning to do a boat trip in Syracuse, but the nice lady convinced us in the end. It was amazing, we did the peninsula and the grotte, caves trip. Both of them were scenic and beautiful. We also had a 10 minute break to swim near the caves. The staff was very kind and funny, they put... More

You can get information on this tour right by the water. It is an entertaining and scenic one hour and ten minute tour. First, you go around Ortigia and then to the caves. You take the tour in a rustic wooden boat. We had the pleasure of Wini the dog joining us who swam with us too. It is a... More

We found this excursion after visiting the Information Centre in Ortigia and seeing a poster on the wall. They could not help us as they did not speak English but did point to a place over the bridge in Via della Dogana. We walked there and found Patricia who was so helpful and organised a tour the next day with... More

We took a group of 20 people on a picnic voyage with this company and had a fantastic time. It was a bit windy, so we couldn't go to the northeast side of Ortigia (which is very scenic, as I found in 2014 when I made a similar trip with this company). Nonetheless our captain found a quiet spot on... More

ORTIGIA It's an isle where is located the downtown of Syracuse; it's accessible from the rest of the town through three nice bridges; two of the three ones are ancient, architectural et picturesque. The whole quarter is a kind of depot of art, history and beauty. The main places of interest are: "Cathedral Square" where stands the Church where is... More

It's a wonderful area in the old part of Siracusa, where you can visit some beautiful places like the cathedral or The Piazza Duomo, eat an amazing Italian ice-cream, drink a cup of limoncello, eat a pizza... or just loose yourself around the narrow streets with nice balconies and a lot of history!
