Visited here in the evening for the BritFloyd Concert and wow what a concert and what a venue. We had unreserved seats and sat as high up as we could. The views across the bay and of Mount Etna in the background were amazing. The...More

If you're going to Taormina, then this place is a must see. Very nicely preserved with lovely views over Etna. Still used for concerts. Try to arrive before 10.30, as the entry queues tend to get much longer later.

It's breathtaking (even when they are clearing down a modern stage set from a gig a few nights earlier!). I'd recommend getting the audio guide, sit on the highest level and take it all in. Stunning place and views!

Generally I love ancient or historical sites and visit as many as I can while traveling. I must say that I found this one a bit underwhelming. Perhaps it was the heat, or the crush of people buying tickets in a less-than-orderly fashion, or the...More

We did other things until 5:30pm, when we entered. It closes at 7. We had it nearly to ourselves at the end. Were the last ones out. It’s cooler and the light is superb.
