Well preserved amphitheatre with great views of Etna. Been here many times but always appreciate how special it is. The last time here saw Paul Simon playing in the amphitheatre with lava flowing out of Etna in the background. What a memory

We visited the Ancient Theatre on a beautiful sunny day and there were amazing clear views looking out to sea and surrounding areas. It is an amazing place and well worth a visit just for the views themselves.
I went early to avoid the tour groups. Amazing to wander around this historical site. Set in grounds with incredible views across Taormina and to Mt Etna.

Definitely worth the visit.

yes. there is a booth beside the entrance. we arrived mid morning on the last week of April and there was no line, however when we left mid afternoon there was a long line. if you time it to arrive between the cruise ship... More
yes. there is a booth beside the entrance. we arrived mid morning on the last week of April and there was no line, however when we left mid afternoon there was a long line. if you time it to arrive between the cruise ship parties you should be ok unless you are in peak season
