As with most of Sicily, “Park” would be more accurate than “garden.” This is a lovely spot with great views. The follies (or beehives) are great additions. It is free and a welcome break from the crowded streets

As artists we found so much inspiration in this park. Pagodas (Italian version), flowers, fountains, parrots, formal and informal areas plus outstanding views of the sea, city and Mt Etna.

Absolutely beautiful park and best of all completely free! The most amazing views of the ocean and mount etna. There’s so much to see in here from memorials, plants, statues, fountains and amazing fort like structures. A pleasure to walk around I just loved it...More

This is a beautiful little park with stunning views and some unusual follies. We enjoyed walking through here most days. Quiet and peaceful and just the best views. The gardens are not large but well maintained. Just a few of the plants and shrubs flowering...More

In March there was little blooming in the garden but even it is a pleasant place for a stroll. The lady had taken her dogs for a walk in the garden which is now the public park

I was terribly shocked to see that the long walk with the seaview was blocked off since December 2017. Poorly maintained.

This is such a tranquil and peaceful place to wander through. The birds in the aviary were amusing. There are also those magnificent views which surround you! We were surprised also when we came across the 2 man torpedo which was used during WW2. Such...More

I agree with all other posts. It your mum can manage the walk to the gardens and back then I am sure she will really enjoy these lovely gardens. Plenty of shade, plenty of seats. Really hope you get to see them

not much, you can walk quite fast through, in 15 - 20minutes, or relax even for hours inside.
