I noticed that the closer to the gate, the higher the prices for gelato got. And the more expensive the stores. Its not much of a gate.
Had the worst pizza ever, worse than the worse frozen pizza. And had to pay a Standing charge for the privalige,
It's just a historic end/beginning of a street in a historic town; I feel funny even reviewing it. Not worth a special trip, it's just THERE.
A short visit is plenty to the gate but it frames the countryside and the surrounding hills- it gives you a sense of what it would have been like to leave or come into the city in ancient times.
