A truly unique and moving attraction. Whatever your mood and whomever you are with, Le Celle is inspirational. Imagine walking in the footsteps of Saint Francis of Assisi. Here you can see where he slept and some of what must have inspired him in the 12th century...the same inspires us today. enjoy!

This is one of those very non-touristy places that we will remember forever. No one to greet you, its free - you just wander around on yur own, and discover beautiful little quiet places. To actually be able to go into the little cell that St Francis lived in whilst he was here, was truly amazing. I almost want this... More

This was the perfect place to walk around and reflect. We had a beautiful (curvy, hilly) drive to get to it and then truly loved walking around the property. So many beautiful buildings and the water running through it is fabulous. I'm not sure how old it is but it is in wonderful shape.

Amazing sanctuary within nature. Beautiful spot in the hillside with a graceful waterfall and lush greenery. If you want a spot you get away and meditate this is it. We walked there one day about an hour walk from Cortona lower gate and drove another.

Once at the monastery there is a car parking area then you have to walk about 500 metres downhill and across a stone bridge across a river before... More

An absolutely stunning surprise. You can fell the serenity immediately. A beautiful soulful experience. Take a picnic lunch there is an area at the entrance with toilet facilities. Just out of Cortona. Take a leisurely stroll & relish the peacefulness.
