We spent 12 days in Italy and the walking tour plus cooking class was one of the best things we did. We still talk about it and use the recipes. We did two cooking classes while we were in Italy and I liked that this one had more items on the menu to cook and that they have you make... More

Highlight of our Italy Vacation!!!! Best cooking class ever. Julian our tour guide was fantastic and Carmela was our chef. We broke our 20+ person group between two guides and started off with a walking tour. We went shopping for vegetables, fresh bread along the way we got a real sense of life in Florence blended with alot of history... More

The Walkabout Tuscany tour cooking class was the highlight of our recent trip to Italy. It was well organized, informative, beautiful setting, excellent guides (Julian and Sondra). Carmella, our Italian chef, was amazing. She was full of enthusiasm and very engaging. The meal we prepared and the free flowing wine was the best we had during our entire Italian experience!... Well run tour of the cinque terre area. Should be noted that on a hot day (we went in July) you should be of a good fitness level to do this tour. Very uneven ground and a difficult trek for those of limited mobility. Stunning views all round. Could probably just do the 2 main towns in a half day... More

The trip was much more than we expected. The guide was friendly, helpful and joyful. He made 3 stops, including the leaning tower of Pisa! We also had a tour in a Tuscan farm and a wine tasting with a freshly made lunch. Great experience! Strongly recommended. Do make sure the tour says the Best of Tuscany Tour because there... More

On our honeymoon we decided that we had to do a cooking course of some kind. This particular course appealed to us greatly. It involved a short educational tour in Florence and the making of authentic Italian Dishes. We enjoyed every aspect of this tour as it educated us by offering us an experience not just a book. This is... More

What an absolute fantastic day. We gathered in Florence city centre and went on a tour of the markets and picked up food and supplies for the day. Hopped on a coach to the farm and literally spent the day learning how to cook authentic Italian food. Made ragu sauce, pasta, pizza, ice cream tiramisu and then got to eat... More

Long day that started already at 8:15am and back at 9:00pm, but without any hesitation whileworth. Siena, San Simignano and Pisa at a glance with a delicious wine tasting and lunch on a traditional Tuscan organic farm. Great guiding from Lavinia, who spoke perfectly English and made it complet by all historical facts and figures; she was outstanding. Also compliments... More

My sister and I did the all day cooking class and it was so fun! The food was delicious and we learned a lot about Italian food and cooking. It was a great value as well, would highly recommend.

Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
