It's the center of Florence and it's the high street where you find all the high brands such as Fendi, Ferragamo, Gucci and much more!

Lovely street with many luxury designer stores. A nice street to just stroll down and do a bit of window shopping. Street eventually takes you onto the Ponte Santa Trinita bridge and over the river to the Oltrarno district.

The luxury is hard to resist looking at. Beatiful stores for the high end people. The whole street breaths luxury and even If the most of us only can window shop it's well worth the stroll.

I love walking this street every time I am in Florence. While is a heaven for luxury shopper the store fronts, well-maintained facades and just the historic air of the street quenches passionate traveler's thirst for authentic and exquisite Florentine architecture, history and art.

Fendi, armani, dolce & gabbana there all here. Close to the Ponte de vecchio and just nice to walk around a bit. You can tell the difference because there are a lot less people shopping here.

This street is lined with high end designer style shops. Name brands everywhere you look. Tons of people walking in the street. Enjoyed window shopping here.

I did not find this road interesting at all, you surely find all these designer names in every major city, we only took it back to the Duomo area where we were based. I noticed though the road did not have the cobbled streets I so much got used in Florence with and which they start 'digging' in your soles... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
