This was a great day trip! The weather was amazing and the views were incredible.... I really enjoyed the horseback ride through the countryside and vineyards. Tom did a great job on the rest of the tour at the winery, etc.. Great way to get out of town and see more of the Tuscany region!

What a great way to see the countryside without renting a car! We were only in Florence for 2.5 days and did 2 Florence Town tours (the cooking class the day before, which was awesome)! Tom was our tour guide and he was friendly, welcoming and knew a lot about wine. He added a lot to our tour. The views... More

This is my third tour with Florencetown. I had such a great time on the Vespa and Bike tours I had to do what they call "the hat trick"! All three Chianti tours. Actually, they also have a strictly wine tour that I am thinking of doing but my wife wants to visit Venice so I may not have time!... More

The tour was phenomenal. We choosed the horse riding tour, yet you can also see the Tuscan countryside on bike or Vespa if horseback riding is not your thing. The horses are very well trained and you see some fantastic views, definitely worth it. The tour of the winery was a lot of fun and very informative, I especially enjoyed... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
