This has got to be the best leather glove shop in Florence and that's saying something. Their knowledge is absolutely unrivalled from assessing a size of hands within seconds of walking in and then delivering a multitude of choices depending on what you express an...More
I purchased gloves here six years ago and was happy to be able to be in Florence to purchase some more. These are the best quality and selection. I love the colours and my favourite style is the cashmere lined ones.
Just a few steps away from the chaos of Ponte Vecchio, you may enter the exquisitely artisanal world of Madova, world famous producer of butter soft leather gloves in a bewildering array of linings, fashionable details and stylish colours. Service is prompt and friendly and...More
Having been here several times, I can say that Madova has gloves in many hard-to-fit sizes (like small) in a wide variety of colors and styles. The gloves are similar to what you would buy at any large, expensive US department store (think Nieman's, Bloomingdales's,...More
This was my third time to this tiny amazing glove store. You are in for a treat as the staff fits your hands for beautifully styled leather and suede gloves. Their selection is like no other and the quality will last for decades!!
This is a long time family business making beautiful gloves for men and women. The leather quality is excellent, the workmanship outstanding, the style and design is wonderful. Attention to customer service is very good and pricing is reflective of the above.
Several friends have shopped at Madova many times so I was prepared to be impressed. Right over the Pontevecchio on the left, this small space houses gloves of so many beautiful colors that I had a very hard deciding. The service is wonderful and patient!...More
Buttery soft leather wears well, cashmere lining is warm enough for Michigan, USA. Plus, the company solved a problem to my complete satisfaction, though I was partly responsible for the dilemma. This is a great company, excellent product, and very good customer service.
This was a great find when visiting Florence. I wanted to purchase several pairs of leather gloves while visiting Italy and was fortunate enough to find this store. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
My daughter checked every glove shop in Rome, Florence, and Lucca she came upon for opera length white leather gloves. No one had any. We almost missed Madova, which was at the end of our street, because of road construction. Finding them was like Dorothy...More
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through
Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
