This 19th century piazza has undoubtedly the best panoramic view of Florence. The square is decorated with copies of Michelangelo's sculptures, but it's the view people come here to see.

Come here at sunset, prepare to deal with the crowds. It's a hot tourist spot, but the view is amazing. You have to see it while you're here. There are a couple of food vendors near the top that have great apertivo. Check it out!

This place is a must when visiting Florence. We went there in the evening right before sunset as it offers a great view on the city. You can get there by bus or by foot- there is some hiking to do but quite easy one.

Piazzale Michelangelo is a must see. Start with a replicata 'David' and picture opportunity from on high then hike up to the Abbazia di San Miniato al Monte church. Awesome views.

When visiting Florence make sure to make a trip to this piazza for the best views of the red tiled roofs of Florence. There are also great authentic restaurants in this area so ask at your hotel for recommendations.

Breathtaking views of the city. We walked up to the Piazzale Michelangelo and saw the city from a new perspective. There were vendors and a place to eat with a bathroom. Great photo opportunities!

We were extra lucky as there was a pop-up mini-festival bar in the car park with food, drink and free music.
