Great way to start the day. It's not too crowded or hot in the morning and offers great views. Worth the 8 euro cost!

This beautiful architecture stands right next to the cathedral. One of the attractions to take pictures in Florence.

Breathtaking view of a gorgeous city, perhaps my favorite in all of Italy. Note that if you buy tickets for the Campanile, Cathedral, Opera and Baptistery, you have 48 hours to do all of them. ;) Not to miss!

If you're looking to get some great views of Florence this was one of the easier climbs. Each level has a floor where you can take some time between each stairwell, get your breath, and enjoy a slightly different view of the area with no need to go any higher than you feel comfortable with (good with kids). I found... More

414 steps to the top and the beautiful views. Just by coincidence we were there at 12 noon and we really appreciated the bells ringing.

You really have to climb all the way up. You need to be in shape for those steps but the view is beautiful

We got the 15€ combined ticket which gives you access to everything in the Piazza over 48 hours. So we did the dome on the first day and the tower on the second. We didn't book a time slot for the tower visit, just went sometime in the afternoon. I found the climb up the tower more challenging than the... More

On my tour on visiting Florence , I started with Campanile di Giotto ! Way more spacious than that place seems. But somehow i got disappointed when I saw that It wasn't the Top of Florence haha.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
