After years of visiting my daughter here, my wife and I moved here. I am offering cycling tours to share the love of the incredible cycling available in the area. Cycling here has turned me into a dedicated road cyclist after years spent mostly mountain biking. The roads available here are so fun to ride with great scenery, excellent surfaces, opportunities to stop for panini or a cafe, simply enjoy life on a bicycle. I take out small groups of 1 to 4 people on cycling tours from Florence. I customize every tour for the desires and fitness level of the clients. Come to Florence and we can explore the Chianti wine country, the wild area of the Mugello, or the birth place of Leonardo da Vinci, among other options. We can do a single day or many days in a row without repeating a ride. Let's ride!

Flew into Venice, rode a week in the Dolomites, train to Florence and 5 days in Tuscany. Mark was a fantastic guide while riding in Tuscany. Great sights, amazing food, cool springs and fountains, and fabulous Chianti! He knew every town, was kind and funny, and even taught us a little Italian! Book a ride with this man today!

This was our first Florence biking adventure and Mark (Cosimo), made it remarkable. We booked Mark for a single day 68km/40 mile ride in and around Florence. Mark’s attention to detail was noteworthy, as he provided recommendations on a bike shop, necessary equipment and, confirmed our bike reservations in advance of our scheduled ride. Mark meet us at the bike... More

I got a tip from a friend that I should check out Mark Collins for some quality bike riding around Florence. I sure am glad I followed up on that tip. I spent three days of magic touring the rolling Tuscan countryside, as well as the bustle of Florence, with Riding with Cosimo. From our initial on-line and e-mail contact... More

I'm a keen cyclist but had never cycled in Italy. Mark did a great job showing me round the Tuscan hills and matching the ride to my ability. We did a great 100k loop. He also advised on where and how to get a good bike rental. All in all a great day out and outstanding value for money

My family and I intended to do a self-guided 3 week bike tour of Tuscany. Very thankfully we found Mark (aka Cosimo) online. When we first meet him in Florence a few months before the tour, we inherently trusted him to design our trip. With a few data points (how long and how high to ride each day), then Mark... More

Mark was an excellent guide for the 35 mile bike trip through Tuscany. He was flexible and attentive to our needs, was happy to stop as much as needed, knew a lot about the area, and is a very skilled cyclist! Seeing Tuscany by bike is an unforgettable experience and Mark will make sure that your tour is exactly what... More

I had the pleasure of riding with Mark for two days during my stay in Florence. The rides were tailored perfectly to fit my abilities, and interests. Both were beautiful rides, with challenging hills and breathtaking views. mark knows the area so well that he can adjust the route en route. I don't always write tripadvisor reviews, but I felt that I had to share what a great experience I had riding with Mark. He made the entire process incredible easy and convenient. He helped me coordinate with the bike shop to rent my bike, explained to me everything I needed to do and bring, and was there at 9am sharp... More

We spent a wonderful day biking in Tuscany with Mark. We went with another couple on a private tour that Mark organized. We biked for several hours to a renowned vineyard where we had a private tour and an amazing lunch. There were some challenging sections on the ride, but through it all, Mark's calm demeanor and good spirits kept... More

Florence and Tuscany are incredible. But, most of the venues and activities are pre-packaged for the average dull, sedate tourist walking or using a bus. --Then there's Cosimo! Mark, the tour organizer is a mature, strong cyclist from the USA who moved to Florence four years ago so he and his wife could be near their daughter. He knows the... More
