The Leonardo da Vinci’s Museum is located in the heart of the city, very close to the Brunelleschi’s dome of the main Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore. At the entrance you will find the new bookshop, with a variety of interesting books, including our catalogue cured by Carlo Pedretti and a wide assortment of gadgets.Visiting the exhibition hall you can discover the world, the life, the works of the universally recognized as a worldwide Genius, whom secrets are still not yet completely revealed. Here you can also test the functioning of his most important projects and designs. You will admire inventions of an extraordinary visual impact, operating and life-size machines, such as the ” war machines ” with the great tank, or the “civil engineering machines” such as the Brunelleschi’s crane and the “flying machines“: you will then walk back through the ambitious dream of Leonardo’s life: the flight. In addition to his engineering projects you’ll find in a unique exhibition space, the reproductions of his most important paintings, including the Last Supper, the Mona Lisa and the Annunciation. A great opportunity to admire them all together and to compare them! The rooms of the museum are enriched with multimedia displays which will help you in understanding the functioning of the machines and making your visit even more enjoying.

Randomly found this experience and really enjoyed it. The price was bit steep, but to see some authentic da Vinci writing and to experience 3D googles for the first time, it was worth it. The light show was also very cool.

Da Vinci was so much more than a painter and was well ahead of his time. We found this museum fascinating with my son interested in the Engineering side of things he was able to photo models of Da Vinci's earliest inventions, checked out how...More

We popped in mostly because our daughters 9 and 11 wanted to play on the Da Vinci machines. It is the only museum we have visited in Italy where they could lay their hands on most (but not all) of the exhibits, and get to...More

Its a small museum but totally worth a visit. So good to see all his inventions, notes and beautiful sketches...to know how he thought and watch a film on his life. What a great man and great vision...

Probably one of the most disappointing venues in Florence. I was OK with them not accepting the Fiorenze pass but the attitude in dismissing it was rude. I was really keen to see the museum and so was happy to pay. Having done so I...More

Dear Customer, our museum is bigger than the two rooms you described so it may be likely that you confused our venue with an alternative one. Anyway, we would like to stress that our exhibits involved an extensive engineering process to create physical machines as...More

Dear Customer, Although we totally respect your point of view we disagree with the evaluation you expressed. All the machines on display in our museum are not considerable copies because Leonardo never realized them but planned and drew in his codes. Our museum is the...More

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Florence for my kids who are 11 and 13. There were lots of activities for them to try and they loved exploring DiVinci's machines. It made us want to go home and build things!

If you have any interest in engineering at all, this museum is definitely worth a visit (I'm the daughter and granddaughter of engineers, and my husband is an engineer!). A lot of the models of his machines are interactive, the information boards are all good...More

You learn about his life, his Family and his inventions. This man predicted the operation of machines long before they were invented.

Thank you so much for the review. We're glad you enjoyed our museum.

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by
an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city.
The historic center is characterized by the immensity
of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the
brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does
not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni
Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is
enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city
