this place isn't about books or studying, it's about the view. so just go there, ignore the "under construction" areas and all the missplaced things over therr, have a drink (very reasonable prices) and contemplate... this is maybe the best view in town over the...More

This place is one of our favorite place in Florence! My son feels so happy being in this library! The books are varied and the place is clean! The staffs too are very pleasant people except for one young lady who does not respond when...More

We went here as we read about the terrace in a Marco Polo guide book. There was a great exhibition of skulls and bones and early man. The terrace cafe.... disappointing... the cafe drinks was limited... no alcohol (unlike others I've visited.. Prague) and it...More

Go to the top floor of the Library and there are tables on a terrace that have a perfect view of the great Duomo of Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral. If you need a few minutes to get away from the tourists and crowds, go...More

A little bit expensive if you want to eat and drink, but I think this comes with the view. I was here after a conference and the view and the experience was great. Maybe next time I will come and use the library and enjoy...More

Just far enough from the crowds to be quiet but close enough to see the Duomo from a very different perspective - as well as the rooftops of Florence! This is an amazing library, full of local personality and students working. The building and gardens...More

Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by

The historic center is characterized by the immensity
of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the
brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does
not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni
Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is
