Although the gallery has less known and important works, the works are excellent and I enjoyed what. Recommended for art lovers

The Sala della Stufa in the Pitti Palace is a small room whose walls are covered by Cortona frescoes, The Ages of Man. They are close up and at eye level, unlike the ones he did in the Palazzo Barberini in Rome, which are just...More

The Pitti Palace is quintessentially Italian; some rooms are so crammed with paintings it's dizzying but somehow it works. The Uffizi seems very proper, whereas the Pitti's sumptuous (if gloomy) salons and bedrooms make it easy to visualise its former inhabitants.

On our final full day we visited the Pitti Palace so that we could spend a few hours in the sun walking around the Boboli Gardens, and we were not disappointed! For €7 each we had the chance to explore the grounds, visit the Silver...More

One of my favourite places. The Pitti Palace in general is a great place to visit that I would definitely recommend but this gallery was in my top 10 of attractions I visited (and you wouldn't believe how many I visited). I'd also recommend the...More

I was quite disappointed with this gallery. Very dark and not inspiring at all. After the Uffizi it wasn't that compelling. If short of time in Florence, don't bother.

Bring comfortable walking shoes. The artwork and architecture are really worth a visit! If you can make it to the top of the gardens, do it. You won't regret it ;)

This palace once inside is huge. There are quite a number of stairs to get around all the rooms on show. It is full of ancient (and some very famous) masterpieces by just about all the famous artists. Plenty of beautiful sculptures here too. The...More

This is mostly art that had been collected by the Medici dynasty over many years. The collection is extensive and there are many works by famous artists. The rooms in which the art is exhibited are also amazing as they very opulent. Highly recommended to...More

Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and
history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti
Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces
visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli
Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues,
fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the
garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History
of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through

I am not sure. Please look online at the primary attraction. If you plan to see more things please look at the city pass as the easy access to most events was also a great perk!
