I,ve passed nearby many times, not real encouraging to go inside. But...
Actually it has a small place outdoor on the back, really quite out from the main noises of the road
Outside area for spring and summer time
5/6 tap beers
This pub was perfect for us. The staff were accommodating, friendly and generous. My husband watched football in there... they let him watch English footie and he taught the locals all the footie songs. Thank you gate pub.
There are plenty of good bars in Florence, but this isn't one of them.
Flat beer, warm glasses frantically trying to be cooled down with ice before serving and staff who were obviously more interested in talking too the 3 x other customers in there...More
I went there to grab a pint and the barista was very friendly. I just happened to walk by, but I will definitely go back.

Santo Spirito / San Frediano
A warm evening with a cocktail in your hand and great company is the ideal way to experience Piazza Santo Spirito; the area is busiest at sunset for happy hour. Visitors cannot hide their astonishment sitting on the staircase under the Basilica of Santo Spirito, and they cannot help but stare at the architectural masterpieces like Bianca Cappello House, Fontana dello Sprone and San Frediano in Cestello and Santa Maria
delle Carmine churches. Tourists and Florentines alike join up in the area between Santo Spirito and San Frediano, connecting the Tuscan soul to the international spirit permeating the city.
