This is a lively piazza--full of the comings and goings of the local Italians, filled with markets twice a week (except in inclement weather). It is ringed by a series of restaurants, caffès, and boasts two gelateria. The main bus and taxi stop for Fiesole. Two ATMs and banks, gift shops, and a pharmacy. A great place to people watch... Fiesole has arisen before in Florence and its etruscgan walls and the Roman amphitheater is confirmed. His loving square is the place everyone's favorite for lunch, dinner or simply to enjoy an ice cream. Already from the square, on the right, you can admire a great view of Florence, but if you want to see full climbs toward San Francesco.

We have eaten here but not for awhile. The last couple of times I have been shoved in between people in the entrance way even when I made a reservation. In advance. This last time they tried to squeeze us between a family with three loud screaming children. We were then given a table if you could call it one... More

Just a 10-minute bus ride up the "Beverly Hills" of Florence. Fiesole has been one of my favorite afternoon day trips while in Florence -- must see the VISTAS of Florence from here before it gets invaded by tourists like the Piazza di Duomo. A few great cafes and gelaterias to choose from for an afternoon pause in between visiting... More

Fiesole is a very small town and Piazza Mino is the center. All around the piazza are small but excellent restaurants and small shops. On Sundays the piazza is home to a local craft market.

This cathedral square is situated in the center of Fiesole which is 295m above sea level and located 8 km northeast of Florence. It provides a nice view of the surrounding landscape with the city of Florence in the distance. The town dates back from the Etruscans (9th C. BC) which can be seen from the remnants of the ancient... More

Back in the 1970s and 1980s, I came out to Piazza Mino to watch the fireworks, or enjoy a beautiful view of the city of Florence. Now the side with the view which used to be mobbed with tourists, is filled with restaurants that block the view for anyone but the restaurant patrons. There's a large equestrian statue in the... The piazza is located just where the bus (local or Touristic) leaves you, and close to the Roman Teather. Has good coffees and you can also sit and take some Tuscany sun with a marvellous glass of wine and take a minestrone soup in one of the

On Friday mornings, the piazza has a market that provides a selection of food, clothing and tourist paraphernalia.
