The shrine of Our Lady of Grace, this place is just so peaceful, it has some amazing views over the bay, it is on a hill accessed by a cable train, certainly a must view whilst in Livorno, so tranqil

A lovely, peaceful location with great views over the bay. Make sure you check the opening times as the sanctuary was closed for lunch whilst I was there. The grotto and toilets were still open.

On a hill overlooking the sea the Sanctuary of Montenero is both religious and historic If visiting Livorno try to include the Sanctuary - it's stunning

Montenero offers a wonderful view from the hills, and it looks like being in the early years of the 1900s. The sanctuary deserves a visit, especially for its spiritual value, but also as a place to share experiences of faith and gratefulness.

One of the most beautiful and peaceful places near Livorno.We went up in a cable train and went to a very historic church.

It's about 400m up a slight incline. In the square there are a couple of restaurants.

No unfortunately you need to get a taxi or bus to Montenero, there you buy a ticket from the tobacco shop a return ticket for the funicolari. Bus will cost €2.00 The taxi will Cost €25-30 euro ...
