Mercato Centrale is similar to the “ Mercados” of South America. it contains a lot of different stands that sell food ( such as meat, bread, fish... ) and there’s also an open market behind it where you can find a lot of different stuff like clothes, necklaces, pots... it’s very cheap and cool, everyone is kind and available for any information. highly recommended.

Meat, vegetables, fish and assorted sundries. Moderate prices. Higher than those in the street stands.

Most (or all) of the Italian mid-size and larger towns do have an in-door farmers market. Livorno has the one as well. Great selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, meat-cuts, you name it, they have it !!!. Worth visiting and worth buying.
