This was phenomenal! You can walk, run or bike these medieval walls - they look like boulevards. A great place to take a little break from what can sometimes be a hectic vacation. This is #1 on my list of things to do in Lucca.

We visited Lucca for a week in September and it was very warm, but we still managed to take a walk on the walls surrounding the older part of the city. I think this is a must for anyone visiting the city as it is...More

This is a really inexpensive great way to see Lucca. You will feel like a native riding on this lovely historic wall. Great views of the mtns and beautiful homes within the historic wall. So relaxing!

It provides great views of the city. You can walk or run it or rent a bike and ride around (lots of bike rental places at various onramps to the wall)

At least 2 bike hire places located close to the entry/exit points of the wall. Easy to spot in such a small town.
