Nice statue and square next to the riverbank and the bridge to station. Cafe serves half price pizzas during 6-8pm so worth a look if you want a cheap eat and are in the area.

This is one of the squares you walk by while going along the main shopping street. Just as all the other squares scattered across the town this offers a nice variety of gelato, food and drinks!

This is a very nice piazza (square) in Pisa. It's near the Arno River, and you can stroll around here

This is a small square at the beginning of Borgo Stretto in Pisa. It is next to the River Arno. There is a statue of Giuseppe Garibaldi, an Italian general who helped the unification of Italy, that gives the name to this square.

This piazza is at the centre of Pisa facing the river. Over the bridge you get to Corso Italia - the main shopping street of the city, whilst going in the opposite direction (Northwest) you can get to the Piazza dei Cavalieri (Knight's Square) and further on the Piazza dei Miracoli. Piazza Garibaldi itself is unremarkable except for the statue of the great man.

The square is located at the northern end of the Ponte di Mezzo, lined with the historic buildings on the remaining three sides. It is dedicated to the famous leader of the unification of Italy, whose bronze statue stands at its western part. The statue was designed in 1892 by Ettore Ferrari and the reliefs around the base of the monument are showing the most important episodes of his life.

Overlooking the Arno river, with a statue of the man who did so much to unify Italy, this place comes live in the afternoon with some freelance artists performing. Just a little further is the shopping arcade.

The square is located at the northern end of the Ponte di Mezzo and is bordered by historic buildings. In the background there is the building that housed the Casino dei Nobili and the two on the side were among the oldest hotels in the city. In the middle is the statue of Garibaldi from which the square later took its name.
