Overview
More
The Tower of Pisa (180 feet in height) was begun in 1173 and, due to its faulty foundation on unstable soil, leans precariously more than 14 feet out of line, preventing visitors from climbing its 300-plus steps to the top.

This is worth a visit, Very beautiful land Mark. Soo many people here enjoying the veiws day or night with extra security by police and the army, i found it safe and secure. The whole place is just amazing. Highly recommended.

It was a very hot day when we arrived in Pisa. However, a 20 minute walk from the train station and you will find the Leaning Tower of Pisa. It was incredible. One more thing to check off the bucket list.

This is a bucket list item that everyone should see first hand. The famous leaning bell tower is part of the Piazza del Duomo where the cathedral and the baptistry are located. Due to time limitations we did not go up. They only sell 40 tickets...More

The site is usually open until 19:00. When we visited around 17:00 there were almost no crowds, which enabled us to really enjoy the place! I was afraid that the place would look less beautiful in the dark, but it had a very magical feel...More

Took a trip here from a cruise ship. It was much bigger than I had imagined. Well worth seeing, the guide gave lots of information. Plenty to do in the area, tourist shops, bars and restaurants.

Just joking. Of course, you must go here. Not just for the tower, but the entire area. It's lovely, but full of tourists...

Just get a taxi. It's a short journey and it will give you enough time to take some photos and walk around for a bit. If your planning on going up the tower you could do it in the time you have but would be a bit rushed... More

G'Day Mark , Cameras are fine , you can't take up any bags (camera , hand etc.) or tripods etc ! I think selfie sticks are frowned upon (as they should be !) Enjoy snapping , Skeney.
