The Tower of Pisa (180 feet in height) was begun in 1173 and, due to its faulty foundation on unstable soil, leans precariously more than 14 feet out of line, preventing visitors from climbing its 300-plus steps to the top.

A really lovely tower and worth climbing. It's great fun and a weird experience as you walk up and down the stairs whilst leaning to one side! Great views from the top and really peaceful. Worth booking in advance as there are time slots to...More

Incredible to see in person. A wonder of the world, still intact. A lot taller than pics make it seem. However, once you see it, that's pretty much it. Then it's back to the train station. Huge crowds once you get past 8am, but vendors...More

Fun stop for a day visit. Probably the cleanest and quantest city we have seen so far. The bus station attendants were friendly and helpful.

We stopped off here for a look at the Tower and lunch, we are very glad that we did. The line to climb the tower was long and we were short on time so we viewed from the outside. Great place!

The tower really was a good sight. Pictures do not do it any justice, however this is the only thing to see in Pisa in my opinion.

So amazing to see such a beautiful piece of history and wonder. Although there isn't much around, its quite mesmerizing. be ready to take plenty of photos, there are a number of street vendors off to the side if you're interested in souvenirs.

The Torre de Pisa is quite a landmark to visit. Not only because the tower is tilted, but also because its marble construction gives it a beautiful shine. The inside is interesting and the view from the top is amazing. Walking upstairs around the tower...More

The bell tower is falling over and made the area world renowned but this is just a piece of the puzzle. The dumo and baptistery are just as beautiful and are not falling. See them
