We were in San Gimignano quite some years ago and wanted to visit the cathedral again. However, we were surprised to find out that tourists have to pay an entrance fee nowadays. Like all San Gimignano, also this attraction has become a tourist trap. One...More

If there had been a better conection with the marvelous Cathedral Building next door, this would have been a better museum, as it was it wwas largely a collection of old peieces that are of interest only to the expert.

Visited with my family this museum - nothing memorable ... just the expensive entry fee. You really must be interested in sacral art in order to enjoy it.

The art displayed here is gorgeous! The Madonna of the Roses was especially beautiful. It's a low key museum, very calm and serene.

You get a free handset with your ticket, explaining what to look at. Look out for the delicate Madonna of the Roses

What an incredible display of wonderful sacred art, The wooden crucified Christ with two saints was awe-inspiring.

We toured the museum as part of a ticket package to visit La Collgiata (Il Duomo). The art spanned centuries and was presented in ways that allowed the visitor to get up close. The vestments on display were beautiful as were the many monstrances.
