San Gimignano is well worth a visit on many different kelps but the spectacular recently renovated Duomo in the centre is certainly one of the great places to visit whilst meandering through this beautiful city.

The Piazza del Duomo is a must to see if you are visiting Italy! Such a beautiful place to see amazing art work from years long ago!

The square isn't much to talk about but worth a short visit to the Duomo. The churches in Tuscany vary quite a bit so interesting to go into a bunch of them including this one.

The Duomo is on this squre with a lot of steps. If you are already tired from the walking around the small city, take some minutes to rest on the steps of the church.

This piazza is the focal point of San Gimignano, the duomo is at one end, the old town well is at the other. The steps around both structures are full of people. The buildings surrounding the piazza are very attractive.

There were no crowds the day we visited so this felt like a very open and big piazza with little activity. I am sure it's much more crowded in the summer as this town is very cute and a great place to see. There were...More
