On May 4th 2014, we did an amazing 6 day "walkabout Tuscany" experience with Gianni. For years we had planned this adventure and it all came true. How privileged we felt to have Gianni exclusively to ourselves for 6 days. We enjoyed every moment. The landscape, scenery, green grass as far as the eye could see, the cuisine, the wine,... More

Dear Keith, it was such a pleasure to have you and your wife on my Tuscany walking trip. Although I was born and raised in Tuscany and always lived here I am still surprised of the beauty of this landscape, just like you. You are leaving behind the best memory of a wonderful week with two beautiful "Aussies". I'll see... More

I am very happy that you enjoyed my trip. Walking in beautiful green landscape, listening to music, enjoying fresh food and a shot of espresso is the best way of experiencing Tuscany. I enjoyed your company very much and I hope to see you and walk with you again in the future. A presto! Gianni, Walk About Tuscany More

We just finished the most wonderful week of hiking, exploring, and learning about Tuscany with Gianni Stangellini of Walk About Tuscany. As a native of Siena, a licensed nature guide and a geologist, he is a unique resource to craft the perfect active vacation. During a week that included occasional inclement weather and a traveling companion with a medical emergency,... More

Ciao Coyote, I felt like like guiding a group of people from my family and my friends. The whole group has been very open to my food suggestions and the whole walking and visiting program. It was very easy to guide all the "chickens" (as I called you, LOL) Hopefully this will be the first of a long list of... More

We wanted to experience the beauty of Tuscany first hand by hiking between villages and in the UNESCO Site of val d'Orcia. Gianni was recommended to us by our hosts at Frances Lodge in Siena. He picked us up at the lodge, and drove us to the start of our hike. Explanation was given and open enough for questions...you could... More

I do realize that my job is a special job but each day is made more special by special guest just like you. Please come back anytime! Ciao, Gianni More

Walking Tuscany with Gianni is a blast! I took a walking tour with Gianni in 2012 and booked a second walk with him this year.
