This was not my first cooking lesson while on holiday but is the the one who will allow me to make ravioli at home. Very enjoyable and the ravioli were excellent. So was the rest of the menu, including a complicated (but well worth trying at home) stuffed turkey breast. From Lella to my Thanksgiving dinner! This was a class... More

This was a great introduction to the local cooking techniques of Siena. Chef Francesco explained each step, and Julia translated so we could catch the nuances. Every dish in our "tipico" menu was fabulous, but especially Lella's own recipes--the Pappa col Pomodoro zuppa and the Pici col Cacio e Pepe ( pasta with a pepper cream sauce). We had a... More

Hey, I spent five most enjoyable days in Siena, at this cooking school in Oct. 2005 and I still have the fondest memories of Lella, her school, and the fun we had cooking and then eating for lunch what we cooked. I rate this as a "not to be missed" life experience! I finally learned how to make homemade pasta.

My wife and I were in the same class as FG Scot, whose review states how we felt about the course. My wife and I like to take cooking classes featuring the local cuisine, and this class was as good as any we have taken.. I highly recommend this class if you want a great way to complement a visit... More

We had a wonderful time at this cooking class. There were about 16 people in the lesson. From 4 until about 730pm we cooked, then we sat down to dinner and wrapped up around 9pm. The time flew by. We made a fantastic baked pecorino dish as a starter. Followed by pasta with garlic and tomato sauce that was delicious.... More

We adored this experience. Lella is clearly passionate about her food and teaching. The food we prepare with her expert guidance was restaurant quality, but that much bett because we had made it partly ourselves.

We immediately felt comfortable and enjoyed our cooking experience. Ella's story of building a successful business from her passion is a great example for our daughter. The recipes were well presented and we had a lot of hands on experience. Don't miss this experience -- you have to eat dinner, might as well learn something.

One thing that my sister and I knew we wanted to do in Tuscany was take a cooking class. Our hotel recommended Lella's cooking school to us and helped us schedule the class. When we arrived in the morning it turned out that the other people who had signed up for the class didn't show, so my sister and I... More
