We made a return visit to Siena to specifically visit the Pinacoteca, which we were unable to visit on our previous trip. It was good, though I thought there would be more work by notable artists of the time period; there were a couple of...More

The museum was opened in 1932 and is located in two palaces in the city’s center. The gallery has a remarkable collection of paintings, especially from medieval and Renaissance era, mostly from Italian artists. This is an exhibition that should be on everyone’s plan during...More

This is some of my favorite art in Italy. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. A specialist would've thought they'd died and gone to heaven. Exquisite.

In a beautiful palace, the Alabaster is exhibited in newly renovated towers adjacent to the palace, off the inner courtyard. Take a moment to look around and to venture into the towers. The alabaster examples are beautifully displayed, on three floors and carry you into...More

This museum definitely deserves a visit for especially those who want to experience local medieval and Renaissance Art. The museum is a great complement to the Museo Civico which also deserves to be experienced as its frescos and early renaissance art are exceptional as well.
