Our hotel was just behind this small church which I believe had once been the home of St. Catherine of Siena. It has two small chapels and a courtyard and is free to visit. There is also a shop.

St. Catherine's house is a better location to understand and experience St. Catherine than the Basilica of San Domenico, also known as Basilica Cateriniana. The Basilica may have the relic of her head, but the house has her story. The house has three main chapels,...More

Unusual complex of frescoe decorated chapels devoted to the saint Catherine. A pleasant and quiet back street place.

Lovely place to visit while in Siena, can't take pictures inside prayers chambers but interesting to visit while in Siena.

We came across this by accident while exploring the streets of Siena. It is a lovely, quiet, uncrowded spot. No fee, not much to see, but really just a gem of a quiet moment in a busy sightseeing schedule.

A relaxing look into the life of Santa Caterina at her chapel. It's in a bit of an out of the way place. Try to time your visit when the bells here and other churches around ring their bells. A wonderful Italy sound!

We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the Casa di Santa Caterina. It was very informative and honouring to Santa Caterina as well as to God. I would recommend visiting this place.

St. Catherine of Siena is one of the patron saints of Italy and this space dedicated to her memory is well worth a visit. It is a quiet serene space in the midst of the bustling city of Siena.

It was Sunday and many people went to visit the church and the monastery. Whole place is particular, with wall-paintings illustrating the life of S. Caterina di Siena.
