Yes it is worthy. Splendid views around. The place is quite different from the crowded famous places. This is also that Sienna! Quiet places where you can rest and admiring gorgeous views and restful atmosphere. In the top 5 for me.

The small chapel-like gallery that features giant frescos of St. Catherine's life is beautiful. Use the audio guide to understand the paintings. Easy to see and appreciate. Across the breezeway is the actual church with the famous cross through which Christ appeared to St. Catherine....More

This castle and church could be easily missed, but they are certainly worth a bit of a side trip between the main cathedral area and the bus station. Free to look around and beautiful inside, don't miss it!

We visited both sights, the Chapel of the crucifixion which was filled with art that depicted parts of St Catherine's life . Across the courtyard was the sanctuary. What a magnificent place. Beautiful art, the cross where she had her vision, painted ceilings and walls....More

Lovely atmosphere here, a kind of cloisters set beside the street of fabric dyers where St Catherine was born. Looking into her life, she was a very interesting and influential woman.
