Far from the tourists, far from the confusion is the Orto de pecci. A very calm place in the fields, and a good place to practice sports and have a walk. It also has some very kind animals and a restaurant. You should try because...More

Wonderful little park with some small gardens, a restaurant and some little garden, where it is great to relax after a day walking in the crowded touristic center. We only met very few people here and it is only just minutes walking from the main...More

This park had been recommended to us by the people we were staying with who obviously thought it was excellent. Not so from my perspective. Yes there is a vast expanse of green grass - but no picnics are allowed (I think because they let...More

When visiting Siena every family or group of tourists must spend at least a few hours in this lovely green space. Completely tranquil it boasts a range of animals including free-roaming peacocks. It's literally 3 minutes walk from the main square and reserves a look.

Nice and tranquil place to rest your ears and enjoy the magnificent small park with goats, peacocks and a funny metal head which looks like something from the ending of planet of the apes. A very reasonably priced restaurant with fine basic food is there.

If you get behind the Palazzo Pubblico, there is an old marketplace and a breathtaking view of Orto de Pecci, which is a real urban oasis. With the town on the hills the Orto is in a super green valley, looking like a renaissance painting....More
