You can drive to the top of the mountain in 30 minutes from Assisi. It's cooler up there, and views can be spectacular on a clear day. In spring, there are plenty of wildflowers, and some horses and cows in the pastures. Some people even walk all the way up. Very windy at the top, so bring a windbreaker or... More

what seemed like hundreds of hang gliders on a hill - waiting for wind and quietly some summer ruffles hunters passed with their walking sticks and dog a very good afternoon in the summer of '99
