Most people come to Assisi because of San Francesco, but the 'story' of Santa Chiara is at least as fascinating. The church built in her honour is a marvellous religious building. Remember to visit the crypt and enjoy the architecture of the place.

A bit plainer than the other churches of Assisi, but lots of interest especially in crypt - tomb and relics of St Clare
This church is beautiful. I would really recommend that you go down to the crypt on display are clothes that were worn by St Francis and St Chiara with information detailed written descriptions in both Italian and English.
