One of the most beautiful Basilicas in Italy and the most popular reason for visiting Assisi. The church is free to enter though there are large queues in the high summer season and later in the day once the tour buses arrive - I'd recommend...More

Well worth a visit, even if your not a devout believer you have to be impressed with the age and structures on show.

Don't miss this magnificent basilica that houses the gravesite of St Francis of Assisi. Very nicely laid out with easy passage through security. Magnificent murals/artwork throughout the basilica.

This is a beautiful structure filled with magnificent artwork and frescoes. It is a very holy place; Mass is given daily. Unfortunately, taking pictures inside the Basilica is prohibited. You will have to use your memory.
