We heard these beautiful bells many times per day ringing through the city. Our hotel was directly up the hill from here so we were excited to walk into this church since we overlooked it daily. Historically it is very interesting, and spiritually very beautiful.

Our hotel looked down on this church. Our group had Mass here one morning and it was beautiful. Everything is so old and well maintained.

this little church has a quiet and contemplative atmosphere. Not over run by the crowds. The piazza in front has a great view of the larger Assisi.

There are 9 churches I think in the walled city of Assisi. Each one is special and deserves a visit. Loved St. Peter's.

The simple church of St. Peter is from before Francis. Clare began her religious life on the grounds as there were no sisters attached to Francis at the time. Stop in and See.

We were in Assisi for a short period of time but were very glad that we made the effort to go to Saint Peter's Church. Only a few European Church's stick in my mind but this is certainly one of the best. The views are...More
