Wonderful town - must see!

Amazing network of ancient streets and walkways with breath-taking architecture. Take your time to plan at least 2 days to see all of the old town.

This is classic Italy- great place to walk around, shop or stop for a cafe or bite to eat during the day. The architecture is stunning. Great place to visit.

We stayed about 25 minutes from Perugia so visited the town on numerous occasions but the Old Town just once. It combines old town charm and a vibrancy from the many restaurants and shops along the Corso Vannucci as well as an educational institution in one of the old buildings (Nobile Collegio del Cambio) At the end of the Corso... This is just a wonderful town to visit. It has just about everything you could want in a town. Interesting old streets and buildings to explore, the amazing Etruscan walls and the Rocca Paolina, restaurants where we had truly wonderful meals, elevators to take you up and down the high parts of town and the fascinating Mini Metro transport system.... We have been to this lovely old town of Perugia twice for a weeks visit, each time during the Jazz festival. There is a lot to see and it is well worth a few days stay if you are looking for somewhere not as well known as other parts of Italy. Perugia, is such a beautiful and charming place to... More

Easy pedestrian access by escalators, through the lower levels of the fortified castle. Brilliant views, no traffic, many places to visit. Take two days and a great experience will be had.

One of the most beautiful cities I have busied. The historical centre with its magnificent buildings, churches, aqueduct, lanes, shops and restaurants. The historical centre has fairly steep lanes, good walking shoes a must.

What a beautiful town to end our holiday in - with such amazing city walks, through underground streets and a maze of piazzas and alleys. We foudn an Etruscan well just by wandering and enjoyed people watching on graduation day.

The city center of Perugia is pretty nice, as most other Italian cities situated on a mountain. There is a big pedestrian zone, which makes the city less lively. Especially early afternoon the center is almost abandoned.
