see this lake in the right light,it is extraordinary. travel by ferry to Isola Maggiore, mist and magic combined with ancient history. Smooth waters, dreamlike ambience and a delicious lunch at one of the many fine restaurants awaits.

We stayed in a villa very near Lake Trasimeno for three weeks. The town offers all of the necessities to accommodate a villa stay, Food, bakeries, plus a lovely small old town and a great fort. Beautiful lake

Yes you can rent a boat. But it might be tricky during the low lake level season. Ask further details at the rental point. Search on google Boat rental lake trasimeno. You are able to rent with or without skipper.

Spiaggia Caloni near Torricella is a good choice, they have sun beds and there's a bar/restaurant as well. Otherwise, if you have a bit more time, take the ferry to Polvese Island, it's beaches are lovely and there are fewer... More
