I spent May and June 2016 at the Universita per Stranieri in Perugia studying at the B1 level and was generally disappointed with the experience. Is the Palazzo Gallenga a nice old building, sure, but that's not why I went there. We got absolutely no orientation to the university and the services provided and in general you (and your classmates)... More

I took a year's course at this school spending that year in the City. It was an eventful time and the courses (in Italian) were engrossing. I had the experience of living in Rome so Perugia was quite different. It seems the municipality does not spend enough monies on the preservation of the infrastructure as Rome. In fact the Via... I was lucky to visit the university with the previous direttore generale who showed me around. Her office is one to make every colleague jealous. Visiting the old classes with the wooden benches but with the marvellously painted ceilings was a great experience . If you get the chance, do it!

My old university! I studied here 24 years ago and was so happy to have come back. I even went inside to visit and bought myself a few tshirts!

The Palazzo Galenga is simply stunning. There's just so much history in every single room of it, and the Aula Magna is amazing, especially the huge fascist style painting (in which the face of Mussolini was replaced) in the front wall. Regarding the university per se, I'd say that I love how the language courses are taught like in a... More

I came to learn Italian at the University for Foreigners in June of 1959 before going to the University of Florence on the Junior Year Abroad program from Newcomb College in New Orleans. True, like many reviewers point out, even then it was chaotic compared with the way registration was organized in the USA but unfortunately anything in Italy seems to be... More

Attended a one month beginners course in the Italian language at this university last October. Was rather apprehensive at first after hearing some "bad" experiences. But I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Yes, it was rather chaotic on enrollment day with long queues. Yes, I was one of the "older' students, but that was ok. The tutors I had were trying... More
