This museum had some of the most beautiful paintings. It was larger than I thought. I thought I'd spend an hour here but it was closer to two, and I still didn't see it all.

The building itself is historical. It houses Umbria's largest art collection set out through a series of rooms which are easily accessible. The explanatory notes for each piece are very brief and only in Italian. The print is very small which means you have to...More

Loved the visit...rich treasure of paintings. A lot of Christian are but masterpieces. Museum is wonderfully maintained and kept.. Consider at least 2 hours. We bought a family ticket. It's a good deal for 35euros. Valid for a year.

If this is your thing, crack on but comparing one "Adoration of the Magi" with another gets tiring for me after a while. Probably worth the 8 Euros a person fee with a few highlights but despite the size of the collection, unless you're religious...More

Allow at least an hour, we spent two, seeing this wonderful museum. A must see in Perugia. The special exhibit of Renaissance master pieces took our breath away.

My husband and I went to this museum on a whim, they had a sign out front saying admission was free (apparently it is on the first Sunday of each month). We didn't know anything about it going in but were pleasantly surprised! The collection...More

We were very pleasantly surprised by the extent of the collection, the quality of the art , and the fact the museum is not overrun with tourists. Fine works by Perugino and Della Francesco .
