In the old town centre of Perugia, near the Cathedral and Etruscan Well, an old palace dating to the 17th Century houses a valuable collection of paintings, porcelains, printed works, manuscripts and embroidered fabrics. The stately mansion of the...more
I liked this place, albeit not strictly the kind of attraction I look for.
The rooms show some interesting works, both books and handcraft of which the Sorbello family seemed to be delighted with; and also gives a glimpse into the embroidery business that was...More
Although not a main attraction we were pleased to have visited this place. A small entrance fee for a personal guided tour. Unlike other ancient attractions this relates to 18th century history of local nobility family. A bit different and very enjoyable.
Very worthwhile visit following our visit to Pozzo Etrusco. Our guide, Christiano was very well versed in the history and family who reside in the palazzo. Amazing library, artworks, porcelains, needlework, furniture and portraits. A wonderful view of a past lifetime. Thankyou.

What a beautifully preserved slice of history through the lives of members of the house of Sorbello. Presented in a wonderfully intimate family setting in the Sorbello Palazzo, I highly recommend this experience as one of the most meaningful and cost effective museum encounters you...More
This is an amazing home to visit, with furnishings, paintings etc. like they would have been hundreds of years ago. Brilliant, and part of the admission price includes access to the Etruscal well (Pozzo Etrusco)
Well preserved and organized Palazzo in Perugia Center. The guide was excellent providing many facts and explaining all the available memorabilia. Beautiful views from the terrace. Bring your camera. They have a small shop where you can buy souvenirs, books etc. related to the visit.
The entrance to this museum is between PiazzaDante and Piazza Piccinino and starts as an unremarkable courtyard - but notice the blocks of the floor are wood to muffle horse drawn carriage noise. The reception area is in large room leading to a terrace with...More
This is an interesting place but it is not a high priority item. The tour is a discount if you have a Perugia pass but it still is a few euros. The library, in particular, is a disappointment because the book shelves are cheap white...More
