I thought this place was fabulous. Maddalena gave us the tour of the workshop and home that make up the museum. Fabulous to see the preserved living space from the 1500s and working space from the 1800s, as well as learn about the process of...More

We were lucky enough to be able to organise a last minute tour with Paola. She shared facts, anecdotes, history and techniques with us. It was so interesting, definitely the highlight of our trip and not to be missed.

the visit is fascinating, and somewhat moving, as eventually, you realize, that you are witnessing, what is probably a vanishing art-form. The the old patrons of this art, are gone, and have not been replaced. In Japan, similar masters of the old arts, are considered...More

We thank you so much for your kind comments which support us in trying to preserve this art started by our ancestors. Even if there are many difficulties we still make stained glass windows with the style we learnt from Francesco Moretti and his relatives....More

This was a fascinating tour learning about this family's involvement in making and restoring stained glass windows and works of arts for five generations. The pieces of art that we saw were beautiful!! Highly recommend!

I expected to see a workshop with lots of people handling hot glass and piecing together small bits of glass into stained glass windows. What I saw was the highest form of this art, where images and scenes are painted on glass with special pigments...More

The Museo offers a guided tour - ours was with a man of the fifth generation of the Moretti family. Giorgio was fluent and well-spoken in English, and was full of information about the development of Moretti's stained glass method and the many steps in...More

We very much enjoyed seeing the old looms and the beautiful woven items. The staff gave us an excellent overview of the operations and the detail for the patterns. We were able to purchase several beautiful table runners as mementoes of our tour.
