We were very pleased to have been led to this marvellous site by other reviewers and booked a tour in advance. Once we were welcomed we were asked to "Excuse the dust!" as we entered - there probably was dust but we didn't notice any, such was the fascinating accumulation of paraphernalia, much of which dated back to the mid... A wonderfully interesting tour by Maddelena and her aunt, giving us a real insight into the work of a highly skilled family of stained glass artists/crafts persons over a number of generations. A beautiful 14c building housing current work, past work including a truly magnificent portrait in stained glass of Queen Margharita, drawings, paintings and photographs and an archive of... More

It was a privilege to meet Maddalena and to tour the laboratory where her family has been making and restoring beautiful stained glass for over 150 years. If you have seen the cathedrals in Orvieto, Todi or Perigia, San Domenico in Perugia or the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli or Santa Chiara in Assisi then you will understand the... More

Please make time to visit the museum at Studio Moretti Caselli. You will not be disappointed. On a Tuesday you can visit without an appointment from 10am. Paola and Giorgio are both welcoming and knowledgeable. This priceless archive of one family's commitment to the art of stained glass is truly amazing. A rare privilege.

Wonderful experience but the Google map location in wrong. Go to corner of Fatebenefratelli and San Savino and go up the stairs and you are there. Wonderful people will give you a private, mind blowing tour.

Not only we we shown archives and glass masterpieces but the old ways versus new ways that have been passed down from generations. I would highly recommend... More

Visited this fabulous workshop/museum @ 10.30am on "walk-in Tuesday",it was easy to find, just got to the Brufani Palace hotel to take in the fab views, then wandered down to the most welcoming/interesting& informative museum we've ever been to. We were taken through the historic yet still used workshop, but the whole place still houses priceless pieces of this wonderful art.... More

I visited this museum not knowing anything about what this form of art entailed and left with a view into Italian history, history of the art and the family that began this establishment. The lovely lady, kindly toured us around with her impeccable english, as we marvelled at their pieces. I would recommend this to all who love art, italian... More

A visit through the world of a 19th century stained-glass production space. The tour of the entire process, starting with drawings and moving through all aspects of the work, is given by family members who still run this famous and important operation and are very knowledgeable. The space itself is very beautiful, the process is fascinating, and the work is... More
