We passed by car many times but also took a walk nearby cause not far there are italian cuisine restaurants, so after a dinner we decided to make a short foto session near this arch, it's really impressive!

Quite a spectacular archway and worth passing through. However not as exciting as the main square which has so much of everything.

Not sure it's worth the effort to find, but is one of the more interesting city gates if you stumble upon it.

Monumental piece of architecture & history - walk through the gate and look up on this beauty. Monumental stones put together to this great structure. Very recommended

It is an old relic of a time gone by. It is not something you would go out of your way to see however. Use this as a place to pass by on a walk to other sites. It makes the walk around Perugia that little bit more historic.

In the past it was main entrance gate to get to the historical center, located in Via Cavour, these ancient arches once lined precisely the entrance to the city. If you were to start your tour of this city from here almost surely appreciate this beautiful sightseeing, however Perugia is a city full of art with very finest attractions.

The "Porta San Pietro" is nice, but not among the crucial things to see in Perugia. The porta won't amaze you after you've enjoyed the beauty of the city center for a day or two. But if you do have some time left to spend I recommend walking down "Corso Camillo Benso Cavour", from the "Chiesa di Sant'Ercolano" all the... More
