The Verzasca River is gorgeous and the stone buildings along the way made it feel like we were hiking in a different time. We took the 321 bus from Locarno using our Swiss Rail Pass in place of the fare. First, we went to Brione...More

Switzerland is a magical place and Val Verzasca is one of its treasures. The river that passes through the entire valley is BEAUTIFUL! It has green and blue shades, it's 100% clear and, with the canyons around it, it creates a wonderful atmosphere. Go and...More

This is a place that should be on everyone's bucket list. The scenery is absolutely breath taking. I went during August and was able to enjoy taking a dip in the river. The river was a crystal clear and the water was FREEZING. If I...More

I was there with my partner last month, was in awe of the place. It was like a magnet. Every inch of the place was magic. Despite my crutches, I managed it all in my own time. If you have not been, please GO.

One of the most beautiful natural sites on the planet Earth. The green water is mesmerising and cold cold cold. The Roman bridge is a must see and if you are daring enough a bongy jump from the river dam is something special.

We lived in a hotel in Ascona. But to miss such a beautiful place as the Verzasca valley, even there could be no question! To get to this valley by car about 20-25 minutes. The road is very beautiful, it passes by the dam on...More

My husband and two teenagers just finished a trip to Lavertezzo in Valle Verzasca. We stayed in a cottage built in 1600's and it was a 10-15 hike to the river. The river and valley was absolutely stunning. We spent a day laying on the...More
