This cathedral did not have the pomp and richness of cathedrals in France but I liked it nevertheless. It was decorated quite simply and tastefully inside and decorated with the Edelweiss pattern in some parts of the ceiling.

The cathedral of Bern is very beautiful and the square is crowded due to the church. If the weather is good, go up on the tower if this amazing Church, it gives spectacular views of the city from the top. Glimpse of history, glass windows and the arch of the entrance is so amazing.

Ever wondered how the Reformation changed an existing Cathedral without destroying it? - The "Berner Münster" is an exciting and illustrative example of this. Built on the eve of the Reformation in more or less traditional Gothic style and turned into a Reformed church a few years later, largely by the same people who had built and decorated it -... More

We get to the church for its tower, the tallest in town. With good wheather it gives a very nice view of the town and surroundings. There are quite a few steps (222 for the first platform and 60 for the second one) but it's really worth.

If you're scared of heights then going to the top of this cathedral definitely isn't for you. We are normally ok with being up high, but there is something about an old building which challenged us mentally. The views were amazing, and it was a gorgeous example of this kind of architecture - well worth the CHF 5 to get... More

This church has a very unique architectural design. It is a must see when in Bern. Beside the church is a park overlooking the senic riverside.

The main doors of the cathedral are very ornate and well worth approaching. The platform behind/south of the cathedral also offers wonderful views and could be easily missed, go and seek it out!
