Not quite sure how to describe this apart from comparing it to other cathedrals. If I do I must say I was disappointed. Wanted to light a candle for deceased family and friends but none available anywhere. It is also difficult to get there if...More

It was lovely to visit the cathedral. It was not busy with tourists. We did not have to pay to visit (optional donation and a fee to climb the tower). The stonework outside had just been cleaned and the building looked like new! Inside, the...More

Churches all over Europe art testimonies to the history of the people who built them as well as the people who were served. This place is no exception.

Gorgeous cathedral from the 4th century. You can only seat to observe the architecture and the beauty. You can face the stairs up to the top and enjoy a beautiful view of the city. Make your choice for a sunny day, if possible.

Beautiful cathedral. You can pay 5.- to go up and you will have an amazing view of Geneva. Worth the effort of climbing all those steps :)

While usually and correctly described as austere, this cathedral is very beautiful. Its architecture is very impressive, and the perfectly preserved late medieval choir stall are magnificent with their elaborate wood carving. The staff was very welcoming. We attended a Sunday morning liturgy; the organist...More

This beautiful cathedral can be explored right at the top where you can clamber over ancient wooden beams and see the sights of Geneva beneath you and also underneath as you walk through ancient crypts and walkways with explanations of this impressive building's construction.
