Whether using the trains, buses or boats, everything terminates here! Tourist information centre is there as are shops underneath and beside and restaurant above. A very busy place and one feels safe at all times day and night. Helpful staff and friendly locals.

The Swiss train system is excellent and worth using to visit out of city attractions and destinations. The cost can be greatly reduced if you have your Swiss Travel Card, available from you tour operator.

It is very useful, with a lot of stores, fast food restaurants, supermarket and tourism office.There, you can buy tickets for almost all tours in Luzern and cities nearby.

Obviously most of the trains depart from here but also the buses and the ferries that sail on the lakes. For those who want to visit Mt Pilatas the journey also begins here

The train station is not so big so 16 minutes would provide you more than enough time to change trains.
