After our journey by coach to St Moritz, with outstanding views along the way, we reached St Mortiz. Simply stunning views whichever way you looked. The train journey back down was comfortable & scenes breathtakingly beautiful. A trip not to be missed, beautiful sunshine &...More

Traveled with Bernina express from Tirano to St. Moritz. A great trip in a train with large panoramic windows. If you love nature and train, this is a must. Quiet and relaxing trip up the mountains on winding railroad tracks. You do not need books,...More

Have travelled on this train several times, and is truly invigorating. Dependent upon the time of year, and the weather, there is stunning scenery to be seen. The lakes again change colour dependent on the weather, but is well worth a trip.

My father and I took 3 scenic Swiss trains back to back over 3 days and they all could not have been more different. We took this train from St. Moritz to Tirano, Italy. This was my favourite of the 3 for scenery. The train...More

After our slight disappointment of the Glacier express, the first leg at least of the Bernina express far surpassed our expectations and overcame the minor disappointment of the Glacier express trip. Here at last were the glazier and snow capped mountains that we had been...More

Such a comfortable day-long trip. Our guide was delightful. So educational and entertaining. The train and coach were both super comfortable (and I’m a big guy......). So much beauty. One of three best excursions you’ll ever take. Worth every penny and minute of it.

An early morning start, in Chur, but an unforgettable journey across and through the Alps to Tirano, for lunch, then back again in the afternoon. Excellent view through the panoramic windows but best pictures can be taken by opening the small window between carriages.

There are regular train services which run along exactly the same route departing Tirano 09 00, 11 00, 13 00 (BEx) leaves at 10 00 so you should be able to get a ticket on the day if you can be flexible with your times.
