Very nice, large, ski mountain -- aka Corviglia

Piz Nair is also known (on its own map at least and to every local I talked about it with) as Corviglia. I think it is the largest ski area in the St. Moritz area. It is also... read more

Piz Nair is also known (on its own map at least and to every local I talked about it with) as Corviglia. I think it is the largest ski area in the St. Moritz area. It is also connected directly to St. Moritz Dorf and St. Moritz Bad. As a result, it's the most crowded. It faces south, so it... More

Some members of the party stayed in at the lounge at the top of the funicular while a couple others of us tried to see how high we could hike. Needless to say,... More

We visited with family, took three cable car rides to reach the top. The walk around the restaurant on the top was very scenic. The restaurant serves good food and reasonably priced.

I have gone up to Piz Nair in both summer & winter. Both days were clear and gave fantastic views of the Swiss Alps. Best I've found, better than Gornergrat and Jungfraujoch. You go up by the fernicular (two stages) and then the Piz Nair the cable car. It's not cheap (CHF75 in winter for non-skier) but well worth it.... More

Great mountain panoramic view from the top. Fantastic ski slopes and in summer great treking routes.

nice views but was too cold and windy for walking-spent an hour in the restaurant which is pretty pricey for a tea as well

The ski stop before that is Corviglia, venue of next February's World Alpine Ski Championship. The tiny bar restaurant at Corviglia serves up very good spaghetti, the meat sause freshly cooked to order

How does it feels to be above the cloud? Here you can see the cloud in the distance that are actually below you. Piz nair is one of the highest piz you can reach effortlessly (By cable car). The trip from St Moritz will first brings your to Corviglia then you have to change a cable car from Corviglia to... More
