The castles are interesting and very well maintained - they all have lovely views over the town and surrounding mountains. In our opinion there are much more complete and dramatic castles in northern Europe but these are definitely worth a visit especially as they are...More

Bellinzona is a little town in Switzerland, very clean, cozy, beautiful. It is mostly known for it’s 3 castles, which are considered Unesco Heritage. Amazing views from the castles. One is on one side, two others on the opposite side. Worth seing!

This castle was truly amazing. Not only the outside but the museum was very interesting. My wife has a disability and she was srill able to take in all the castle had to offer.

There is a reason for the castles (3 in all) being listed as world heritage. We were overwhelmed and would encourage anyone going though the Gotthard tunnel to stop off and see at least one. These are the real deal.

Very nice and compact old town of Bellazonna, with a lot of nice heritage buildings in diverse colours. Offers a very local orientated scene, with its clocktower and the small streets that makes it somewhat unique. From the city, the three castles are also not...More

I'm an avid fan of the Medieval era, and I've visited many castles and fortresses. My experience in Bellinzona was remarkable. The castles are well restored and give you a great sense of the wider historical context. Also it is free to roam and not...More
